The Need

A leading domestic mass merchandise DVD retailer enlisted Sprint's strategic partner to help design, deploy and manage a world-class distribution strategy using self service kiosks in national grocery store chains to distribute rental DVD's.

The Solution

The design and deployment of a 360 degree lifecycle supply chain for the merchant allowing the client to offload all communication logistics and back end support requirements so the customer could focus on core business needs and requirements. TeraNova designed processes flow and manages full lifecycle requirements including testing, staging, firmware loading on the wireless router/connection card combo, shipping to the kiosk manufacturer and downstream kiosk installer and coordinating all installation segments.

TeraNova manages all post-install requirements for the customer including 24x7x365 tier one help desk support, break fix and reverse logistical needs via a coordinated hot swap program and provides complete inventory management of all devices and warranty programs.

The Result

The client realized a 70% reduction in go-to-market timeframes over the previous hardwired DSL connectivity arrangement, increased production by 135% via coordination and roll-out of 200+ kiosks per month, justified TCO and ROI within 5 months and gave the customer peace of mind and a strategic communications direction going forward.
